The wildest shark angling adventure in the world

Visit the World's largest island high north for one of the most exiting shark fishing adventures ever .

Match your skills against the big Greenland shark (Somniosus microcephalus) that prowl the deep, icy waters locked in darkness beneath thick ice with stand-up tackle.

The area is known for its good population of sharks that may be up to 6.5 metres in length and more than 600 kilo in weight. Even sharks in world record size are believed to lurk deep under the ice according to biologists.

In addition to shark angling you have the chance to catch Greenlandic halibut (Reinhartius hippoglossoides). These Greenlandic halibut are usually caught close to the fishing grounds for shark and is another fascinating challenge and palatable catch for the angler from the ice in the pristine water. The Greenland halibut weigh 3-4 kilos on average, but specimen on 10-15 kilos are caught on a regular basis.
