How to get there
The gateway to Uummannaq is via the international airport at Kangerlussuaq/Søndre Strømfjord. From there, there are six flights per week by Air Greenland to Qaarsut on the Nuussuaq peninsula, and then a ten-minute helicopter flight to Uummannaq.

Coastal boats
In the summer, it is also possible to sail from Uummannaq. During the ice-free period from mid-June - late December, the Arctic Umiaq Lines passenger ship sales from Kangerlussuaq once a week to Uummannaq.
Flights to settlements
Helicopter flights to the settlements are provided by Air Greenland via Uummannaq Heliport.
Boat chater
Passenger boats can be chartered from Uummannaq Tourist Service that owns a passenger boat for 21 passangers.
